Using research and best practice Teaching and Learning maintains a cadre of strong and successful programs supporting learning instruction and technology for schools, children, youth and families as well as professional development courses for teachers, early learning providers and parents designed to support achievement and life-long learning. Programs are available in the areas of child care, early learning, workforce training, teen programs, AmeriCorps environmental / educational programs, prevention services, learning improvement, educational technology, professional development, video conferencing, math and science. The department works in partnership with schools, districts, families, communities, higher education, businesses, government and other partners to help create opportunities for educational success throughout the region.
