CCFS Community Partner Information
Collaboration starts with community partners like you. Help us make the difference.
For Schools:
Do children in your district possess the requisite skills necessary for school success at the time of kindergarten entry? A recent study of kindergarten teachers state-wide found that fewer than half of in-coming students had the skills necessary to be successful in school. Research clearly demonstrates that children who start school behind their peers all too often never catch up.
The National Education Goals Panel defined school readiness as:
- Children’s readiness to enter school
- School’s readiness for children
- Family and community supports that contribute to the readiness of children.
Child Care and Family Services offers a wide-range of programs and services designed to maximize children’s early experiences through strategic community partnerships thereby by optimizing children’s readiness for kindergarten.
