Pre-Bond Communications Services
Engaging the community in discussions and decisions surrounding capital facilities planning is one of the most critical first steps when a measure is making its way to the ballot. A strategic communication plan will undoubtedly be the difference between success or failure of a funding measure.
As part of the CSG pre-bond services, our communications professionals bring a wealth of experience and expertise to the table. We can help school districts plan, strategize and manage communication outreach and marketing activities throughout the capital projects campaign. Professionals will conduct and analyze research, create key messages, write and design informational materials and implement a step-by-step, data-driven communication approach that will assure a successful campaign.
ASK your community first!
The ESD 112 staff can create, deploy, collect and analyze data and feedback from district constituents. There are three options to consider:
- Statistically-valid telephone survey using a random sample of patrons who live within your district. We partner with a consumer opinion polling group to develop key questions, seek responses from several different target groups and analyze what those responses mean to the overall bond planning.
- Electronic survey, by invitation to selected target groups or random sample audiences using special on-line surveying software. We will send out a link to the survey on your district’s home page inviting patrons to participate or we can send postcards/emails to a sample group.
- Focus groups or planning symposiums: We’ll help you engage your community face-to-face. We will organize, plan and implement communitywide planning symposiums, staff and patron meetings or focus groups.
Communication materials
ESD 112 maintains a large educational public information and communication arts program. Many of the graphic arts, collateral materials, writing, community outreach projects and printed materials are state and national award winners. Our team can put power into your information materials! We assist districts with short and long-term communication needs, with a focus on building support for school capital facilities projects.
- Newsletters: writing, editing, design, photography, layout and printing for informational campaign pieces.
- Special purpose brochures/mailers: Informational campaign mailers, customized key messages, district branding and theme.
- Web messages, staff letters, PowerPoint presentations, and press packets/media relations.
- Personalized and mass communication for internal and external audiences, in printed and electronic formats.
