Retro-commissioning is a systematic investigation process for improving or optimizing a building’s operation and maintenance.
Who We Are

Retro-commissioning is a systematic investigation process for improving or optimizing a building’s operation and maintenance. CSG provides this service to Washington State school districts.
The retro-commissioning program ensures that your building systems are operating to maximize energy efficiency and comfort in your schools. Because all we do are schools, CSG staff is keenly aware of the educational mission you are tasked to perform. We work with you to maximize your maintenance budget and work with your maintenance staff so that they can successfully maintain their buildings.
What We Do

Using functional performance tests designed specifically for the type of equipment you have in your buildings, CSG will run the systems through a series of tests to determine how the equipment is functioning. Results from the tests will be used to identify problem areas and to generate a prioritized list of corrections that are needed.
If your building systems have never been commissioned, retro-commissioning will create a model for keeping the equipment in optimal operating condition. As a District, you will be able to plan, budget and correct equipment over time and be able to maintain the systems with trained staff. CSG will also help you look for funding from a variety of sources to assist you in making the corrections.
