Human Needs Project Models

Case Management

Working in conjunction with college programs, many local students are required to complete practicums or internships. These appropriately skilled and educated members can help to increase the quality of care you provide your clients. In turn, they receive a scholarship to help pay for their schooling - that's win-win!

Increasing Diversity

In today's diverse environment many organizations are reaching out in effort to provide increased programming to non-English speakers and persons with disabilities. Get help reaching your diversity inclusion goals with the assistance of a Links member.

Senior Services

Stretch your program dollars by enlisting the help of Links members to provide services to seniors. Links members can provide in-home visits, organize transportation, or develop and lead activities in an effort to help increase quality of life.

From assisting in food collection and distribution, to food safety training and health and nutrition program development, a Links member can help your organization solve one of our region's most pressing issues.

Summer Programs/ Projects

Many organizations have special programs that operate just during the summer months. Links AmeriCorps positions make a great compliment to most summer programs since these terms can be 300- 450 hours in length. Perfect for college students looking for a way to earn $ during their time off while getting experience in a field that interests them.

Homelessness Programming/Services

Enlisting the help of one or more Links members can enhance your program's ability to serve the needs of the homeless population. Links members can provide programming for children in shelters, assist in street outreach, or develop a job training program.

Publicity Interns

Does your organization have programs or services that need media attention? Need to get the word out to your target audience? Have a special event that needs to be promoted? Website or promotional brochures need revamping? A Links PR Intern might be just the fix you’ve been looking for. Links provides individualized training for these positions based on the needs and experience of the incoming members.

Volunteer recruitment, training, mentorship guidance, and volunteer appreciation are among the possibilities for these positions (must be at least 17 to enroll). Contact us for more details.

Credit-based Service, Internships & Practicums

High school and college students may be able to earn $1000+ scholarships for their service through AmeriCorps. In order to count, the project must address a community need and place the member in direct service. Contact us to see if your internship qualifies or for help designing one that does.

Culminating Senior Projects

Students in Washington will soon be required (or may already be) to complete a Culminating Senior Project in order to graduate.
