ESD 112 awarded grant to help strengthen American history education

Nearly one million dollars has been awarded to Educational Service District 112 through a federal Teaching American History grant. The grant proposal was developed by Matt Karlsen, ESD 112 social studies coordinator and Barbara Lomas, ESD 112 school improvement and professional development director.

ESD 112 will partner with The Gilder Lehrman Institute of American History and The Center for Columbia River History in administering the $949,643 three-year grant.
