ESD 112 to benefit from Rite Aid donation

As part of the grand opening of a new Vancouver Rite Aid store featuring the company's new "Customer World" design, the Rite Aid Foundation made a $5,000 grant donation to Educational Service District 112. ESD 112 Business Manager Bernice Sundby accepted the grant during the grand opening ceremony.

The new store, located at 2800 Northeast 162 nd Avenue, incorporates features of the company's "Customer World" design which was created using feedback from customer focus groups.

"We're very excited to open a new Customer World store design in the Vancouver community," said Lambrecht. "Vancouver residents can now see and experience the new design and services that many of our customers have been raving about since we opened our very first Customer World store about two years ago. Customers told us that their relationship with the pharmacist was important, so each new store highlights the pharmacy. Pharmacy is our core business so we made it the focal point, or star, of the Customer World design."

The store design, created using feedback from customer focus groups, is Rite Aid's first new prototype design in over eight years offering a new look and many new services. The Vancouver store opening is part of the company's goal to open approximately 125 new and relocated stores this fiscal year. Rite Aid plans to open 800 to 1,000 new and relocated stores over the next five years.
