Voters approve eleven local levies for schools
Southwest Washington voters said "yes" to schools February 7 by approving 11 local Maintenance and Operations levies to support education.
In Clark County, Camas, Evergreen, La Center, Vancouver and Washougal school districts all received the required 60% supermajority. Voters in Camas and Washougal also approved two-year Transportation Vehicle levies.
Levies in Battle Ground and Green Mountain school districts failed to achieve the 60% voter approval required by law.
Castle Rock (Cowlitz County) voters approved a Maintenance and Operations levy, as did Naselle Grays River Valley (Pacific County) voters.
Klickitat County voters approved levies in Centerville, Glenwood, and White Salmon Valley School Districts.
In a very close election, Wahkiakum School District voters ultimately said "yes" to schools and approved the district's levy.
