Voters show support for region's school districts
Washington voters showed their support for schools by approving levies in our region. On February 19, voters approved levies in Castle Rock, Centerville, Glenwood, Goldendale, Hockinson, Lyle and White Salmon school districts. While many districts passed by more than 60 percent, several school districts benefitted from the passage of EHJR 4204, which requires a 50 percent majority for a levy to pass, instead of a 60 percent supermajority.
