Dallesport students make rag dolls for good cause
Students in Nancy Moon's class at Dallesport Elementary have been busy making rag dolls to support a good cause. The class has created dolls to donate to the "Rags 2 Love" program, which sends rag dolls to children all over the world who are the victims of war or other disasters.
The idea for the project came from Nancy Moon's friend, Linda Mooney. The two spent weeks sewing dolls for Moon's students to stuff. The students spent about an hour stuffing 26 dolls which will be shipped to Wyoming and dispersed from there. Moon turned the project into a geography lesson as well, where students mapped out countries the dolls might be sent to.
