ESD 112 staff recognized forcommunications efforts


The Washington School Public Relations Association (WSPRA) has announced the winners of its annual electronic and publications contest. WSPRA is the state's largest professional organization for school public relations and communications practitioners.

The following materials received awards:

• Educational Service District 112 Annual Report, a yearly accountability report distributed to key educational partners in Southwest Washington: Heidi Barnes and Lori Simpson.

• Marketing Brochure, a complete marketing tool describing ESD 112 services to its clients: Heidi Barnes and Lori Simpson.

• Woodland School District Web site, a complete redesign of the site featuring new navigation: Heidi Barnes and Nicole Hagerty.

• High Impact Manuals targeted to youth on service learning topics ranging from youth advocacy to tobacco prevention: Jodi Thomas, Gail Spolar, and Nicole Hagerty.

• Camas School District Boundary Video, an informational video production to create community awareness of the boundary review process: Lori Simpson and Rose Yandell.

Entries were judged by industry experts outside of the association to provide chapter members with feedback on everything from newsletters and magazines to videos, photography and Web sites.
