Evergreen administrator receives award
Image Elementary School Principal, Lauren Hopson, was recently selected by her peers in the Elementary School Principals Association of Washington (ESPAW), as a Washington State Regional Distinguished Principal.
Candidates are recognized based on their contributions to professional growth and development, educational excellence, community relations and humanitarian activities. Only 18 principals were selected.
"We are extremely proud of Lauren and this well-deserved honor," said John Deeder, Evergreen Public Schools Superintendent. "It is principals like her that continue to work for world-competitive education for our students and the continuous development of staff excellence within the district." Hopson and the other Distinguished Principals will receive special recognition at the ESPAW Fall Conference on October 15 in Vancouver.
