In this book study\, we will explore how we can nurture children’s development through play\, discover how schools can use play to effectively motivate students\, and discuss how we define play over the course of five monthly sessions. \n*Participation in this course requires participants to acquire “Play” by Stuart Brown\, MD. This text can be purchased online for $5-$10\, or borrowed from a public library. Participants will leave the multiple sessions with a strong understanding of how/where they want to focus attention in support and improvement of their program(s). This series has been ongoing for multiple years\, allowing directors to create a mentor-ship relationship with each other & new members. DESCRIPTION:Racial Affinity Groups are intentional spaces where we can be safe enough to be vulnerable\, challenged\, and supported as we share our experiences to engage in racial inquiry.
