In this book study\, we will explore how we can nurture children’s development through play\, discover how schools can use play to effectively motivate students\, and discuss how we define play over the course of five monthly sessions. \n*Participation in this course requires participants to acquire “Play” by Stuart Brown\, MD. This text can be purchased online for $5-$10\, or borrowed from a public library. DESCRIPTION:Prevent Coalition and our partners will host the annual Elevate Youth Prevention Summit on Tuesday\, April 21\, 2026. The event will run from 9:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. and lunch will be provided. \nWe welcome youth prevention clubs\, youth groups\, teens\, and schools to join us in this gathering about youth leadership\, empowerment\, resilience\, substance use prevention and more! \nHigh school youth in grades 10-12 may attend as youth leaders. See the High School Flyer for more details. \nLearn more & register!\nWe also have a small budget available to help offset transportation costs for groups that may need assistance.
