Dr. Heidi Roop is Research Scientist & Strategic Communications Lead with the University of Washington Climate Impacts Group (CIG). With a passion for science communication, Dr. Roop’s professional mission is to improve the reach and impact of climate science in order to engage, motivate and catalyze action around climate change. Her scientific career has led her to conduct research on all seven continents, from Alaska to Antarctica. Dr. Roop has developed education and communication products for NASA, the National Science Foundation, and the Exploratorium.
