About

Standardized Testing in Washington State

The ESD 112 Student and School Success team offers personalized trainings and connections that districts and teachers need to support the state’s standardized testing program. A custom support plan could include training for new staff, support with the formative assessment process, or assistance in analyzing student data. Email kathy.whitlock@esd112.org for more information.

State Testing Resources

Washington students are tested regularly by the state to assess their progress as they move through school. State tests include Smarter Balanced, Washington Comprehensive Assessment of Science (WCAS), End-of-Course (EOC) exams and Washington – Access to Instruction and Measurement (WA-AIM). You can find more information at OSPI’s State Testing page.

Another valuable resource is Ready Washington, a coalition that supports college and career-ready learning standards.
