Edu-Speakin' to me?!

What's EDU-Speak?

What is EDU-speak?

Ever get confused by teachers, principals and other educators using complicated educational terms you don’t understand? That’s what we call EDU-speak!

In the EDU-speaking to me?! video series, a group of ESD 112 educators and communicators aims to explain education jargon (EDU-speak) in a clear and entertaining way that makes it easy for parents, community members, students, and even educators to remember.

For the deep-dive, we’ve included links to resources in each video. Browse our video library below, search the ESD site for keywords, or click on the Suggest a Topic tab if you don’t see what you’re looking for.

EDU-speak is everywhere, and ESD 112 Answer Man, Mike Nerland, is on a mission to stamp it out:
