Woodland Public Schools announces the return of the Back to School Bash on Saturday, August 17 from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Woodland High School.

The Back to School Bash is open to all students of all ages attending Woodland, La Center and Kalama schools and features free backpacks with school supplies for students as well as games, bounce houses, prizes and food. Last year, the event provided nearly 2,200 free backpacks filled with school supplies to area students.

The key to the event’s success lies in teamwork and collaboration. “All volunteer organizations and community members work together as a team to ensure students are ready for the new school year,” said Catherine Pulliam, Woodland Public Schools’ Community, Family, and Student Resource Coordinator. “These partnerships help chip away at the nonacademic barriers to learning, and also support the healthy development of students and their families.”

This event is possible thanks to the generous donations made by Woodland Public Schools with sponsorship from local churches and communities as well as grants from area businesses and organizations.
