As spring approaches and high school students are either beginning or in the midst of the lengthy process of figuring out what’s next after graduation, several Southwest Washington school districts and community-based organizations are holding college, career, and industry fairs to help students along in their decision making. Many fairs are open to additional employment seekers as well, not just high school students.
For students who have just begun their post-high school planning process, or haven’t made any decisions yet, career and industry fairs are a great place to start. Students will have the opportunity to meet professionals from a wide range of industries, including agricultural and food services, business management, finance, government and public administration, human resources, health services, hospitality, information technology, manufacturing, marketing, public safety, STEM, and transportation. In many cases, high schools have partnered across school district lines and with community partners to bring together dozens of industry partners in these and many more areas to present a wide array of post-graduation options for students.
Students are encouraged to bring their resumes to career and industry fairs as some employers may be hiring! For more details on specific events, check out the links below.
