When members of the Glenwood School Associated Student Body (ASB) approached Superintendent Heather Gimlin about donating their fundraiser money, she told them that the students decide where the ASB money goes, so it was up to them. Those students then went to every 6-12 grade student at the school to secure their unanimous support.

They surprised Travis and Kelly Miller, a local couple who lost their home recently to a fire, by presenting all $3,196.54 to them on February 29, 2016. Travis Miller has served on the Glenwood School Board since 2013, and Kelly Miller is a Special Education Paraeducator at Trout Lake School District who works for ESD 112.

“I could not believe the wisdom and compassion that these students have shown for these people that lost their home,” writes Superintendent Gimlin in her March newsletter, “It truly inspires and impresses me.”
