The Southwest Washington STEM Network, in partnership with the school districts and local businesses, has taken bold steps to meet the demand of local skilled workers. The Network’s Worksite Learning internship program matches high school students with job training in an innovative way. Students gain not only the technical skills but essential soft skills to succeed in the workforce.

Worksite Learning includes job readiness skills such as résumé writing, interviewing, conflict management, teamwork, project management and much more. Interns also work on real work-based projects, and learn technical skills from a mentor on the job and in school.

The Southwest Washington STEM Network, a program of Educational Service 112, supports and promotes challenging, relevant and integrated STEM learning experiences for all students in the region.
