White Salmon Valley School District Superintendent, Jerry Lewis received a very special birthday surprise from K-3 staff and students at Whitson Elementary School on Tuesday March 20. Dr. Lewis was invited by Principal, Todd McCauley for an early morning meeting. When Dr. Lewis arrived, he found both sides of the long building hallway lined with students and staff. They all sang happy birthday and handed Dr. Lewis special handmade birthday cards as he high-fived approximately 370 K-3 students. Dr. Lewis shared that this was a very heartwarming experience and one birthday surprise he will always remember.
