Erin Lucich, a dedicated leader in education, has been named the 2025 recipient of the prestigious Association of Washington School Principals (AWSP) President’s Award. Lucich is the Director of School Improvement & Educational Leadership at Educational Service District (ESD) 112 and the interim superintendent at Roosevelt School District.

Lucich was presented with the award and a commemorative plaque by AWSP Board President Woody Howard and AWSP Deputy Director Jack Arend on Wednesday, May 14 at ESD 112.

The annual award recognizes individuals who demonstrate an exceptional commitment to supporting school leaders. Recipients are celebrated for their efforts to elevate the role of school leadership across Washington state through professional learning, mentorship, and sustained support. The AWSP Board chooses recipients in consultation with the AWSP executive director.

“Erin wears many hats and has shown a deep commitment to building up school leaders,” said Jack Arend, Deputy Director of the AWSP. “As a district leader, she consistently empowers others to lead with confidence and purpose. She understands that when school leaders are equipped with the right tools and support, entire school communities thrive. Her leadership is a powerful example of what’s possible when educators are supported and inspired.”

“I’m truly honored to receive this recognition. I’m proud to be part of a region that is so deeply committed to lifting up school leaders and ensuring they have what they need to lead effectively. Amazing things are happening for educators and students here in ESD 112,” said Lucich.

The AWSP President’s Award underscores Lucich’s impact and the ongoing efforts within ESD 112 to build strong educational leadership across the state.
