Students at Henrietta Lacks Health and Bioscience High School (HeLa) had volunteers from NW Noggin visit last month. NW Noggin is a collaborative neuroscience outreach group in Portland and Vancouver that works towards building networks in the community through neuroscience education. HeLa students were able to examine human brains that NW Noggin provided and discuss various aspects of how a brain functions, including memory, anxiety, and sleep patterns. HeLa High School is part of Evergreen Public Schools, Vancouver, WA.
