Educational Service District 112 is now accepting nominations for two highly esteemed regional awards: the 2027 Teacher of the Year and the 2026 Classified School Employee of the Year. These awards honor exceptional educators and school employees whose dedication and contributions make a lasting impact on Southwest Washington schools.

Regional winners will advance to compete at the Washington State level later this year.

Who Can Nominate?

School districts, colleagues, students, families, and community members are encouraged to nominate outstanding candidates. Nominations are open through March 1, 2026, via OSPI’s online nomination form.

Teacher of the Year Eligibility & Criteria

Any certificated teacher is eligible if they are:

  • Currently teaching.
  • Serving in a position where at least 50% of their time is spent giving direct instruction to students in a classroom setting.
  • Planning to continue teaching for at least two more years.

Classified School Employee of the Year Eligibility & Criteria

Any classified school employee is eligible if they are:

  • Currently working in a non-executive management position at a public school.
  • Planning to continue in that role through the following school year.
  • Have not previously been named a Regional or State Classified School Employee of the Year.
