This summer, Early Care and Education began hosting a new internship collaboration with two community organizations: Partners in Careers and Summer Works! Some of our child care centers are welcoming students ages 16-24 to come learn from our amazing early learning educators! Interns are able to apply professionalism skills, gain hands-on experience, serve as positive role models for children, learn more about child development and explore networking and employment opportunities in ECE! There is no better way to find the right career path than by volunteering or interning!

Pictured is one of our amazing summer interns, Jessica! Jessica took initiative with curriculum planning for this week’s theme “Arts & Crafts” at one of our school-age sites and instructed an entire classroom of children in making mini piñatas! Jessica is not only a talented artist, but she is also bilingual and passionate about working with children. Jessica hopes one day to be an ELL teacher! We greatly appreciate Jessica’s help this summer and feel lucky to be a part of this exciting chapter in her life!
