ESD 112May 12, 2025 at 1:45pm
Three dedicated ESD 112 employees were recently honored by the Washington State Department of Children, Youth & Families for their exceptional work with the MyJOB program, which provides career training and internships to incarcerated youth ages 14-25.

The program has made impressive strides this year, with 23 graduates completing job readiness training and 30 youth participating in paid internships across diverse fields - from automotive technicians to baristas and dog trainers.

As Micah Segura-Mitchell (pictured on the left), Youth Workforce Specialist, said: "A big part of breaking the incarceration cycle is providing opportunity and helping people envision their future selves."

We're incredibly proud of Deanna Conwell, Christine Katon, and Micah Segura-Mitchell for their commitment to creating pathways to success for young people navigating challenging circumstances.
