Gorge Academy in White Salmon provides a supportive, therapeutic learning environment for K-8 students in Klickitat and Skamania Counties needing behavioral interventions.
The program emphasizes emotional, academic, and social development, offering:
- A day treatment setting
- Specialized therapeutic services
- Family involvement opportunities
- Support from community social services
- Behavior management based on each student’s Behavior Support Plan, utilizing trauma informed de-escalation principles
- Individual or group skills training consistent with each student’s IEP and Behavior Support Plan
