Educational Service District 112 is seeking applicants interested in filling the Director District #4 board position that encompasses Ridgefield and portions of Battle Ground and Vancouver school districts. The vacancy is open following the resignation of Trish Kellogg, who served ESD 112 for 11 years (read article).

ESD board members are unpaid volunteers who attend monthly meetings held at the ESD headquarters in Vancouver, WA. The Director District #4 position appointment expires in January 2022. However, because there is a board election in the fall of 2019, the successful applicant will be required to run for election to fulfill the remaining two years of the term, through 2022.

Application packets are available upon request by calling Amber Scott at 360-932-3317, and should be submitted no later than 5:00 p.m. on May 15, 2019. Applicant interviews will take place on May 28, 2019.

Candidates must be registered to vote, and reside within the boundaries of district #4 encompassing the following area:

  • Ridgefield
  • Parts of Battle Ground starting at the intersection of NE 219th St and NE 50th Ave. South on NE 50th Ave to NE 94th St. West on NE 94th St to School District boundary. Clockwise following School District boundary to NE 219th St. East on NE 219th St to the point of the beginning.
  • Parts of Vancouver starting at the intersection of NE 58th St and NE 45th Ave. South on NE 45th Ave to NE 54th St. West on NE 54th St to NE 40th Ave. South on NE 40th Ave to NE 52nd St. West on NE 52nd St to NE St. Johns Rd. North on NE St. Johns Rd to NE Minnehaha St. West on NE Minnehaha St to NE 63rd St. West on NE 53rd St to 1-5. North on 1-5 to NE 78th St /NW 78th St. West on NE 78th St /NW 78th St to Chicken Creek.
